Gallery is a video in which the images of a surveillance camera in the corridors of a residential building are juxtaposed with the voice of a women reading the 12th City, The City of the Book, the text taken from 12 Ideal Cities written by the Florence architecture group Superstudio in 1971. The images although very familiar to our everyday life and the common behavior of the inhabitants using this transitory space, the common space, correspond somehow with the vision of the architects, an alienated future yet a dystopian city. In their vision the inhabitants of the city wear hanging on their neck a book, the book is the spirit of the city. This book leads the moral and the behavior of the inhabitants but the inside of it never becomes clear. The images and the voice create a tautological maze of the building and the book or of architecture and human being.
